FREE SHIPPING "Thou Art That" Textile and stained glass mosaic, 34" x 24" framed
"Thou Art That" is a textile collage combined with glass mosaic on birch panel, 34" x 24", framed. Because this piece is mounted on a wood panel, it hangs on the wall just like a painting. The textured glass, however, gives it greater dimension (particularly the iridized glass used in the flowers and halo).
Jung speaks about the Self as the core of our being. Through that Self, we connect with something higher, greater, more magical and mysterious than we imagine ourselves to be. We can connect with that Higher Self through many paths - through silence, meditation, prayer. Our method of connection is as individual as we are.
Our culture places high value on reason, efficiency, and scientific fact. These things are certainly useful but in overvaluing them, we devalue the connection with our intuition, our knowing, our Higher Selves. Instead of becoming quiet and asking our Internal Guide for direction, we ask Google.
"Thou Art That" is a tribute to the Inner Self who always has our best interests at heart. When we disconnect from the internal and look only to the external, we find illusion; when we turn off the external and look inward, we find inspiration.
The more adept we become at connecting with Self, the more beautiful and clear our outer world becomes. As within, so without.
